As a designer/maker Gareth's approach is to give a modern twist to classical concepts through the choice of traditional and contemporary materials and design ideas. His furniture is practical and functional, handcrafted with attention to detail using traditional and modern joinery skills and techniques. Gareth mainly uses hardwood timbers & veneers, lacquers and solid surface acrylic when producing his furniture.
Gareth studied Hand Crafted Furniture Making in the UK and has recently completed a two year career development program with the JamFactory in Adelaide as an associate furniture designer in the furniture studio. He has exhibited internationally and has a growing reputation for quality, handmade, contemporary furniture with particular attention to details. Each piece is created to last a life time, not only in manufacture but in it's timeless design.
