Henrietta Gothe-Ellis (B.Des UNSW) is a multi-disciplinary designer based in Sydney. 2DESIGN was founded in 2003 and produces her signature piece, the Australian Design Award winning AURA modular seating system. Within 2 years, the AURA travelled from the sands of Whale Beach in Sydney, to Issey Miyake's showroom in Tokyo Japan, via multi-sensory installations in Gwangju South Korea, to the Huvafen Fushi Resort in the Maldives, enhancing the stunning natural environment surrounding. Designed in 2002, in production in 2003, and Australian Design Award Winner in 2004, the AURA Seating System has acheived design excellence, and continues to travel the world and grace each destination with it's unique presence. In 2004, the AURA won the prestigious Australian Design Award for Design Excellence. Here's what the international judging panel had to say; "Beautiful form and quality design for manufacture. Exceeds all the judging critera."
